Mac recognizes that it is plugged into an external display (I think) but the Dell does not change from its own windows computer screen. It's prompting you to purchase an extended warranty. It is free. Dell support assist you will continue to have free use of either way. I use a Dell docking station. Trying to use this as an external monitor for a MacBook Pro (via the HDMI connection) but cannot get it to work.
